Information on Giving
Maybe it is
part of your religious choices to give, family upbringing or possibly you have a
loved one who suffers and want to offer support to others in the same condition.
There are many reasons why we give, be it money, goods, services or time - it does not
matter why but it does matter that it actually goes to where it's needed most.
Before writing
that check, packing that box of goods or donating your time, I suggest you ask
questions of the organization, be clear on their goals. You can also go to
GIVE.org , or a similar site, and look into the organization you wish to
support.
Or maybe you'd
like to go RED, a different way of looking at giving.

Or
maybe you'd rather buy a book and read it, all while supporting Hurricane Relief
victims. If this is your thing then try 'Coming Together: Special
Hurricane Relief Edition' from Phaze.
This is something I wrote right after it happened -
Katrina.

Now
on a different note.
I am a part of a work force
who has many members unable to afford health insurance, and in the US, that
means extremely high costs if something goes wrong. A new organization has
risen to address this very problem, starting with one author in desperate need
of medical equipment to live. Please go to Save the Quiet Kitty and ask
questions, help if you can. If you can't that is fine to, knowledge of a
problem is part of the battle when we go to the voting booth.
