The
Painted Lady
published
by Whiskey Creek Press Torrid
What is a woman to do when she has
been blindfolded, her naked body painted to resemble a cowgirl gunslinger and
left alone to dangle from a hook?
On a frigid
winter’s day Saffron Hoyt is about to find out, and it is not at all what she
expected.

What
inspired this tale...
There was a mixture of
things that came together for this story but a major one was Joanne Gair's
work as an artist. One of her
most notable pieces is Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair .
She painted her body so it looked like she was wearing a suit, when she is
actually mostly naked [although I can't remember specifically, I believe
she is wearing a pair of black briefs in this image]. I kept that
cover for years as inspiration for something, I wasn't sure what back
then.
Some were
made up, but many of the art pieces mentioned are real...here are a few.

This famous picture of
Natasha Kinski was the thought in my mind when I twisted it around
with a bit of wickedness [gasp] for 'The Painted Lady'. |
