So, you were curious about how Tilly entered in the writing biz...here you go, the whole sordid tale.

I'll start with a confession:  Books are my thing.  From day one I've had a deep love for the bound story.  Apparently I've always been a bit of a neat freak about my books and taken care of them [many from my childhood are still in my collection].

As a teen my mom gave me a book on how to write and publish a children's book. After high school I went to art school and then university.  Everyone thought that when I finished I would start writing.

Instead I went into a couple of different veins of the book [and ebook] business and was on that path for many years.

Then, while I was abroad I broke my hand and for three weeks I traveled with it that way [the local doctor gave me an ace bandage and some lovely painkiller gel].  Once home and officially handled, life changed [and I mean more than needing pants with an elastic waist].  I stopped my travels long enough to look around the web, found WCPTorrid and happened to read their call for Twisted Children's Tales...oh boy, did this little blurb shout out to me.

Sitting on the couch, feeling angry at missing a trip to a new and exciting locale, maybe even suffering from a little self-pity because I struggled to dress myself, I decided to take the bull by the horns and do something constructive.  I used one hand and typed out 'Come, Sweet Creature', a twist on the children's poem "The Spider and the Fly", submitted it before I could second guess myself and danced with my cutie when it was accepted.

Since that moment, every day I write something, even if it's rubbish, I write and feel at peace - or as peaceful as one who has so much to say and not nearly enough time to get it all down.
