Featured Author at The Romasnce Studio [March 2006] Tilly
Greene Castor and
Pollux, gorgeous ancient Greeks who had been tossed up into the sky for eternity
to form the Gemini constellation, are offered a second chance at the immortality
apple, all they have to do is find true loves within 365 Earth days. Anissa
George is as unique as her parentage and life becomes really interesting once
she begins working for Cash and Pax Puncheza at Double Punch. Reviews for
Double Punch "...I loved the interaction between these characters." – Trang, eCataRomance "Tilly
Greene uses a mixture of ancient mythology and updates it to fit the modern day
very effectively. The scenes at Mount Olympus with Zeus were hysterical. You
begin to get a very good understanding about what it must have been like for the
two guys growing up in their family Both Castor and Pollux are very vivid
characters that hold the reader spellbound. I would love to see a sequel to this
Story! This is a book that I would recommend as both funny and very HOT!!"
– Teresa, Fallen Angel Reviews "These
Sons of Zeus are a hot combination and I loved that Anissa is a normal woman
with a normal body who is comfortable with herself and her sexuality. This is
one hot read and yet the story isn't lost in the sex, although keep that fan
handy!" – Holly, EuroReviews "Hold
on to your seats ladies. The sex in this story is so hot it will definitely
leave you panting with excitement. A four-alarm fire could not blaze any hotter.
I was unable to put down this book until its completion." - Candy Cay,
Coffee Time Romance About Tilly
Greene Born into
the easy folds of a sleepy beach town Tilly Greene has ever since been trying to
shake the sand out from between her toes. Thinking she had it all figured out
she moved to colder, frigid if you ask her, climes and, although seeing seasons
evolve is wonderful she has yet to recover her equilibrium. The thongs and
shorts are still regularly worn, no matter what time of year, and her
imagination runs to the wild side of scorching. Backlist Double
Punch, December 2005 [www.venuspress.com] A note from Tilly… I have a
newsletter, the Monthly Scorcher, that comes out each month and it is where I,
amongst other things, host contests, offer flaming shorts, place random
excerpts, suggest unique websites for the readers to visit and many other
things. Readers can sign up at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tilly_greene. An Interview with Tilly Greene By Holly
Hewson, Marketing Director for The Romance Studio HH: Tilly,
welcome to TRS BLUE. Please tell us about your latest book, Double Punch. It is
lovely to be here, thank you for having me. So, lets see, Double Punch, my
first release ever, takes on the Dioscuri, which literally means Sons of Zeus,
and in particular, Castor and Pollux. The story is all about the boys being
given a second chance at living an immortals life, but as usual Zeus has a few
stipulations that must first be met. All they have to do is within a year find
their mate, their one true loves, present and prove to their parents that it is
a real and lasting love and they will all be granted a new life on Mount
Olympus. The down side is that if they both do not find their mate then it is
straight to the Underworld to suffer a mortals painful demise. The search is
almost over and no zing with any of the ladies they have dated, then a serious
problem arises. They meet and instantly, simultaneously, both claim Anissa
George as their mate. You have to read Double Punch to find out whether the
gorgeous twins live the good life on Mount Olympus or if they are heading down
for a visit to their Uncle Hades. Hopefully readers will adore the Dioscuri as
much as I do and enjoy the scorching romance along the way. HH: This is
a very exciting addition to the critically acclaimed Sons of Zeus line. How did
you come to be part of this series of stories? TG: Well,
the day Venus Press published their first SOZ title I was over there and it
started me thinking about their Sons of Zeus line, so many ideas flitted through
my thoughts but at the time I was in another part of the book business and left
the ideas to fester in the back of my imagination. You see I am a huge, and I
mean huge, nut when it comes to Ancient Greek mythology. Yes, I even have wall
charts that show the lineage of major and minor figures, as well as the houses
of various kings, yup, like I said, a huge nut! Then it happened, in 2005 my
first erotic romance, Come, Sweet Creature, was accepted and I went back to VP's
submission guidelines page and saved them with every intention of writing
something specifically for the SOZ line. HH: Where did you get the idea for your story? TG: Zeus
was a randy so-and-so and produced some fabulous kids, but the boys, Castor and
Pollux, I have always felt died well before their prime. They were young, fun
loving, gorgeous, and completely dedicated to each other. Then there was the
myth surrounding their conception, interesting and different, way out there, and
yet they never let that define them. For the Dioscuri it was all about family,
and even though they were not true twins they had that special link, something I
was wanted to bring to readers. HH:
What are you working on at the moment? TG: Well, I
would love to say that I am knee deep in writing a fabulous tale of hot romance,
but right now I am doing the author thing and working on two edits. First is
Hamish Buchanan, a hunk of a Scotsmen, yes, but a unique shifter as well. I
adore this man, he is something really special, very naughty, and he is ready to
go hunting. The other is New Beginnings: Carpe Diem, a futuristic that takes
place in a post WWIII America. It is not the dark and ugly world that is often
depicted, but the period definitely has its problems, enough that Major Cooper
Sayer and Maris Gower defy their government and set out to have a better life. HH: What else can lucky readers look forward to from you this year? TG: Wow,
2006 is an incredibly full year for me and I am thrilled to entertain readers
with a variety of tales. In April, at Venus Press there is the naughty shifter
Scotsman, Hamish Buchanan, and over at Samhain Publishing is my futuristic, New
Beginnings: Carpe Diem. In May, at Whiskey Creek Press Torrid is the fast paced
Extreme Speed, Total Control about a Formula 1 race car driver and an artist,
what a secret Selkirk MacLellan is hiding and when it comes out, well, I hope
the readers are buckled in for that one. And then there is a wild ride of a
Western called The Lady Wore Only Chaps that hits the cyber shelves over at
Venus Press this summer, and when I say wild I mean it! HH:
What does your family think of your writing? TG: Across
the board the family is thrilled and all saying about time. The cutie is very
supportive, has enjoyed telling his workmates over lunch about each and every
contract accepted, and occasionally asks if he can be a kept man - who could
deny such a request? My Mom drives me nuts, wants to read everything and take
them down to her coffee group, not too sure about this idea, could Double Punch
be a bookclub book choice? Possibly, but the questions, well, I can take it if
they can dish it. Then there is my sister who sends her two youngest kids in to
pepper me with questions [so wrong and I have told her that!] and her two oldest
girls, college age, are both claiming they will be the first to read a Tilly
Greene book, which only works against them...saucy so and so's who both used to
torture my beloved kitty when I was away. HH:
Where do you do your best writing? TG: On my
laptop, wherever I may be. We travel quite a bit, inner time clock is usually
fairly well screwed up and so when I am up, I am writing, wherever I may be. HH:
Any vacation plans? TG: Because
we are a couple from two different countries my cutie and I take trips a couple
times each year, both east and west, to visit family and friends. Added to all
the travel we do throughout the year, vacation has become a staying at home and
doing nothing thing. Last year we visited an auntie of mine who had rented a
house on Oahu and it was just wonderful. Much to the consternation of my Mom and
Auntie, we did very little other than get up at dawn and head to the beach, the
cutie would barbeque and we all enjoyed the far too strong mai tais and just
vegged. We may go back there this year, sit on the beach, spend hours in the
water swimming with the giant turtles, basically do nothing again, maybe go
beach hopping, but who knows. HH:
Will you be attending any conventions, book signings or other events this
year? TG: It is
pretty tricky to arrange these types of things but I am looking at attending the
Book Expo America. You see I am a real book addict and love to see what is
happening in the world of the written word, although I will be haunting the
pop-up publishers to see what they have coming out this year. HH:
Where can readers and fans find out more about you and your books? TG: The
best place is my website, www.tillygreene.com. As soon as I hear something I
make the change and put it out there, if I am excited then I want to share with
everyone. Then there is my newsletter, The Monthly Scorcher [
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tilly_greene/ ]. HH:
Thank you! TG:
And I thank you for having me, it has been fabulous. * * * |
